I am a writer based in York, England. I have written features and interviews for various international publications including Skin Deep (UK), Tattoo Master (UK), PRICK (USA), Xalt (Canada) and Pinstriping & Kustom Graphics (UK). I write regularly for Skin Deep and Tattoo Master magazines, where I have had the opportunities to cover subjects ranging from Russian criminal tattoos to P.E.T.A.’s Ink Not Mink campaign. I have also been able to interview some of the most talented artists and inspirational people working in the tattoo and art worlds. My work covers features, interviews, personal stories and studio reviews.
I have also written a collection of dark and slightly disturbing, thought-provoking short stories, that focus on the subculture and undercurrent hidden in daily life. Its themes touch on modern life’s deviant sexual and violent nature. As one reviewer commented, “this writing could only be created in the mind of the love child of Chuck Palahniuk and Hunter S. Thompson”.
The collection of my short stories, From The Lodge to the City, was published on the 1st June 2011 and is available to buy from my webstore or Amazon. Digital copies (Kindle, Book Nook, Sony, Apple) are also available from Smashwords.
I am currently working on a novel that takes a lighter look at the tattoo world.
If you would like to contact me with feature, interview or story ideas, or if you have a collaboration you think would blow me away…or even if you just fancy a chat, post a message here or visit my Facebook page and drop me a message. But most of all, enjoy, after all that is what it is all about!
Love what you are doing my friend, one step, forward
two steps, run.

Hi Trent,
What an incredible headway you have made over the year! I am immensely proud of my ex-classroom parent helper and trip accompanier! In ten years’ time, when I pick up my pen, I shall interview you to discover the way forward to achieving that dream,,,the writer’s vision!
Keep up the great work!

Huy ‘Mr. Smith’, don’t know how I got here, but I don’t mind stopping here at all! I’ve always been inspired by tattoo-art (such a shame that Belgian TV cut off Miami Ink .. ), and my first tattoo is on its way! I don’t know that much about it, so it is really nice to find someone who tells all about it. I’d like to follow! Good luck!
Thank you for stopping by and saying hello
Always a pleasure to welcome new ink to the global family
